Miscarriage or Spotting?

Ive been having light brown to brown blood in my underwear since yesterday lunch. Im not sure if its a miscarriage or just spotting, though I dont think spotting accurs at 7 weeks? It hasnt had any clumps or blood clots .. Maybe 1 or 2 the size of a pen dot. I have called doctors and they said not much they can do as its only early days, anyone else that can relate or know anything?
