What was the song used in the teaser for Return to Lonesome Dove?

In 1992, during a rebroadcast of the first Lonesome Dove on CBS, there was a teaser/promo for the Return... miniseries, stating "coming in the fall of 1993" and had a country song playing whose only line I remember was "i was born to be a cowboy" but it isn't the same as the songs by Chris LeDoux or RW Hampton.
